Volunteer With SCORE
We’re on a mission to help small businesses.

Every day, our mentors help small business owners start, grow and achieve new levels of success. These volunteers are our lifeblood and the reason for that success.

Be part of something greater than yourself.

  • SCORE is the premier volunteer small business mentoring organization in America. By joining SCORE, you’ll contribute to business success in ways far beyond your current or past jobs.
  • Connect with thousands of wonderful peer volunteers across the country in our shared mission to foster vibrant small business communities through mentoring and education.
  • Make a positive difference by helping entrepreneurs and small businesses by sharing your business expertise with those who are interested in starting or running their own business.

If you have the time and the desire to help the small business community, this is a way to extend the experience of being part of an organization doing worthwhile things.

There are Several Ways to Volunteer

Mentor

A Mentor is certified, trained and qualified to mentor clients including existing businesses and start-up clients. Mentors are proficient in guiding a client on business basics. Learn more about this role.

Subject Matter Expert

A Subject Matter Expert (SME) has knowledge and experience in a specific set of business skills. They assist clients when those skills are needed and may be lead teachers in their specialties. Additionally, they may co-mentor under the supervision of a certified mentor.

Workshop Presenter

In this role, you’ll deliver business training, teach new concepts and engage small business audiences in online presentations.

Volunteer

SCORE volunteers work in support of the SCORE mission and vision by handling important administrative and/or leadership responsibilities required to operate a chapter.

Among the many reasons why SCORE volunteers love their roles:

  • Give back to your business community
  • Expand your business reputation
  • Network with local and national business experts and clients
  • Develop new skills through peer learning and SCORE training
  • Build deeper connections to your community
  • Receive local and national recognition for your efforts
  • Leverage your knowledge and experience to positively help others

If you have the time and the desire to help the small business community, this is a way to extend the experience of being part of an organization doing worthwhile things.
